Lidya is a Senior at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is excited to begin her career at The Crown Institute because it is her passion to work with the youth community. Growing up in Ethiopia, she was exposed to numerous things. She faced many obstacles, and all the ups and downs of life made her reflect on herself and the society around her. Now Lidya is ready to help others with their personal growth, to be a shoulder to cry on and to give a listening ear. She was inspired by the community she grew up in, filled with role models that she could always lean on. Lidya considers her grandmother to be one of the most inspirational people in her life.
The Ethiopian culture is very hospitable and Lidya can’t wait to bring that hospitality to the Crown community!
