Michelle is a Senior Project Manager and Professional Research Assistant at the Crown Institute, working on the Alma Peer Mentoring Study. Michelle made her way to the Crown Institute because of her passion for improving the mental health and wellbeing for those in the perinatal and postpartum periods, both clinically and through research. Her goal through research is to ensure that any person who is pregnant or postpartum has access to affordable mental health resources. She also has interest working on interventions that emphasize the inclusion of local community members. Michelle has a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and a BA in Communications from the University of Michigan.
