Casey Fiesler

Casey Fiesler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science with a courtesy appointment in Computer Science. She holds a PhD in Human-Centered Computing from Georgia Tech and a JD from Vanderbilt Law School. Her primary research area is social computing and online communities, and much of her work examines the role of law, ethics, and social norms in socio-technical systems. She is also a Senior Fellow in the Silicon Flatirons Center for Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship.
