The objective of this project is to engineer a fully operational three dimensional printer which could then be used to produce functional prototypes. The 3D printer works by depositing an ABS plastic material on a flat surface. The prototype can be any desired 3D object within 3x3x3 foot. The printer would be entirely platform independent, that is to say it will be able to run on the Windows, Apple, and UNIX based operating systems. The user will be prompted with a friendly user interface for printing which would allow the user to configure the printer's settings and functions.
