Research

I am curious about large-scale erosion and how erosional processes have changed over geologic time. I use thermochronology (the thermal history of rocks) to date when erosion occurred in order to constrain hypotheses of how it occurred. Currently I am working to better understand the Great Unconformity, one of the longest erosional unconformities in the global sedimentary rock record. My research includes fieldwork, labwork and computer modeling. CU undergraduates interested in research are welcome to contact me.
