Houston Kempton
Geological Sciences

I received M.S. in geology from CU (1987) with a focus on aqueous geochemistry and hydrology.  I’ve worked as a consultant doing water quality studies for over 30 years, with most of my projects using models to estimate the effects of hard-rock mines on water quality.  I’m retired, and serve now as the staff geochemist for Great Basin Resource Watch, an environmental organization in Nevada that assesses potential environmental impacts at mines.
