Mel Lopez

Melinda is a fourth-year PhD Candidate in the School of Education with an emphasis on STEM. She studies how high school science teachers use generative AI with culturally responsive and sustaining practices to support their students. She received her BS in Applied Physics from Cal State San Marcos and her MS in Applied Physics from the University of Oregon. Melinda enjoys reading, writing, playing guitar, playing cozy games, and going on walking adventures with her dog Archer!
