International Student and Scholar Services

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) provides support to the University of Colorado Boulder's international students and scholars who are seeking educational and professional opportunities in the United States. ISSS collaborates with university departments, liaises with international partners, and communicates with U.S. federal agencies to advise, support, engage, and advocate for our international community.

Student Legal Services

Student Legal Services provides legal services related to immigration, including student visa issues, F-1s, green cards, and other matters. Each student is allowed one immigration appointment while attending CU Boulder, with no follow-ups available.

Immigration Adviser at the International English Center

The IEC Immigration Adviser provides students with information about how to maintain their F-1 international student status and related matters, by means of workshops and individual meetings. The adviser also helps to smooth the transition between the ESL Academic Bridge Program and the University of Colorado Boulder for those students who intend to matriculate into a degree program.

Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance (OIEC)

The OIEC provides legal, medical, and counseling services, immigration/visa services, and information on campus housing changes, transportation and parking, and CU financial and registration processes.

Resources for Undocumented Employees and Students

The University provides this comprehensive guide of resources for students and employees who are undocumented and/or a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) beneficiary. The page provides access to resources for financial, legal, academic, and counseling support.

English as a Second Language (ESL) resources at the International English Center (IEC)

The IEC is a leader in delivering innovative, high-quality English language instruction and cultural enrichment, and a center recognized for advancing global engagement and providing pathways to university and professional success. The IEC provides a variety of ESL programs suitable for individuals from a variety of backgrounds, and targeting various academic and career aspirations.
