ISIEC's It's Friday events are designed to bring staff members from around campus together to network and interact with people outside of their respective work groups. The events rotate to be hosted at different locations of front line work groups on campus.

July 19, 2023 - It'S Friday on a Wednesday Event at Research Lab No. 2 (RL2)
ISIEC hosted an “It'S Friday on a Wednesday” event on Wednesday, July 19th from 11:00AM - 1:00PM at Research Lab No. 2 (RL2; 1540 W 30th St.). Sandwiches, cookies, and beverages were provided along with a chance to build community and take a break from work with I&S colleagues. The event was well received and we had over 120 staff in attendance, and we even ran out of food and had to go get more (great problem to have!). For this event we are tried something new and had one of our new electric busses shuttle staff from Main Campus to RL2. We have several of our I&S groups housed in RL2 that were in attendance with many of them showcasing some of the great work they do for campus:

September 22, 2022 - It'S Friday on a Thursday Event at EH&S
Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and your Infrastructure and Sustainability Inclusive Excellence Committee (ISIEC) hosted an event from 11:30AM - 1:00PM at the Environmental Health & Safety Building (EHSC; 1000 Regent Dr). This was an amazing opportunity to get together with different work groups and meet new people in I&S while learning about some of the amazing work that the EH&S team does for our campus. The event was hosted in the EH&S conference room where wraps, cookies, and refreshments were served. EH&S hosted a great event that also came with games, prizes, and a slideshow of some of the different situations where something went wrong on campus and EH&S came to the rescue! We had about 75 attendees, most from I&S and we were neighborly and invited the Police Department and Parking to join us as well on a dreary weather day in Colorado. November 12, 2021 - It'S Friday Event with Trades shops at the Stadium
The Infrastructure and Sustainability Inclusive Excellence Committee (ISIEC) and the Trades shops hosted a fall 2021 event to tour the Trades shops and learn how they support CU Boulder facilities. Tours of the different work areas were provided where staff were able to learn about all the amazing work done to keep our campus operational with an emphasis on the outstanding work that was done to keep our campus operationally safe through the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was held from 10-1pm and there were 6 person tours conducted every 15 minutes with a live zoom feed of the tour. Over 30 I&S staff members were in attendance along with our Trades shops teams. Burritos and light refreshments were served. September 25, 2019 - Open House (Not on Friday It'S Friday Event) at the East District Energy Plant
Utility and Energy Services teamed up with the Infrastructure and Sustainability Inclusive Excellence Committee (ISIEC) to host an open house for I&S staff at the East District Energy Plant on Main Campus on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Over 100 I&S staff showed up in total to meet the Utility and Energy Services staff and to learn more about the facility that provides heating and cooling for much of the Main Campus. Hot dogs with all the fixings, CU and fall themed cookies, sides, and refreshments were enjoyed by all along with some good old fashioned conversation!
May 17, 2019 - It'S Friday Event at the Grounds & Recylcing Operations Center
Over 85 I&S employees gathered at the GROC (Grounds & Recycling Operations Center) for this spring event hosted by ISIEC. Attendees were able to mingle with others outside of their work groups while eating some delicious breakfast burritos! The Grounds team hosted tours of their facilities along with the irrigation control room, while the Recycling team hosted tours showing employees how we process recycling at CU Boulder. The day turned out great with the rain starting at the very end of the event, and a great time was had by all. See some pictures from the It's Friday GROC event here.
October 7, 2018 - Infrastructure and Sustainability Day at CU Soccer
Sunday, Oct. 7, was Office of Infrastructure and Sustainability Day at the CU Buffs soccer game versus Washington at Prentup Field. The event was hosted by the Infrastructure and Sustainability Inclusive Excellence Committee (ISIEC) designed to create employee connections within the Office of Infrastructure and Sustainability. Families came to the game and were able to take photos with Ralphie, CU’s live buffalo mascot. There was also a kids zone activity area.
August 10, 2018 - It'S Friday Event with Facilities Operations and Services
More than 200 Infrastructure and Sustainability staff gathered for the Aug. 10 It’S Friday event hosted jointly by the I&S Inclusive Excellence Committee (ISIEC) and Facilities Operations and Services. The day included shop tours, educational talks, games and lunch cooked by Facilities Operations and Services leadership. A photo gallery of the day's events can be found here.
April 13, 2018 - It'S Friday Event with Environmental Health & Safety
The Infrastructure & Sustainability Inclusive Excellence Committee (ISIEC) hosted it's first "It'S Friday" event on April 13, 2018 from 11AM to 1PM at the Environmental Health & Safety Building. Infrastructure & Sustainability staff gathered to network and talk with one another, while also learning more about EH&S and their role on campus. Lunch, including vegitarian options, was catered by Half Fast Subs.
