Alexander Hedrick

I am a Ph.D. student in mechanical engineering. I received my B.S. in mechanical engineering at UCLA in 2022. The goal of my research is to advance the capabilities of insect-scale robots by leveraging shape-morphing and tuned body compliance for enabling multi-functionality and increasing mechanical robustness. Outside of the lab, I enjoy skiing, running, backpacking, and playing chess.
