How to create a Penji account

Download the Penji app in the Apple App Store and Google Play
Open the app and click "Sign Up"
Sign up with your first.last[at]colorado.edu email address
Choose to schedule either a one-time, one-on-one appointment or a weekly recurring group session
Enter your class, pick a time that works for your schedule and select a location. Don't see your course? Email asap@colorado.edu to get help!

Students with accessibility needs should contact the ASAP office for assistance in signing up for a tutoring group. Call us at 303-735-3303 or contact us via email at asap@colorado.edu

Important things to do before your tutoring session

Connect with Tutor Mentor via chat in Penji. Tell them the goals you hope to get out of your tutoring session.
If you cannot attend your scheduled session, let your Tutor Mentor know at least 24 hours in advance.
At the end of your session, complete a Tutor Session Evaluation in Penji.

Tips to make the most out of your tutoring sessions

Come prepared. This means you should attend class, take notes, read the textbook, attempt the homework and come with questions.
Tutors guide your learning. They work with you, not for you. They help you think through concepts, share study strategies and develop skills.
Tutor Mentors are students just like you. Tutor-Mentors provide academic support, but they do not guarantee grades or evaluate your work. You still need to put the effort in before, during and after tutoring sessions for success.

Textbook Lending Library

Check out textbooks for any of your classes for FREE! We have a number of books for many of the general education and lower division classes. Our library is not exhaustive, but we would be happy to check if we have the book you need.

This service is available to all CU students. Simply email asap@colorado.edu for more information.

When emailing, please include your name, the course number, the book title and edition.
