Intelex Technologies is one of the leading software suppliers servicing the needs of organizations seeking to build systems to track environmental, health, and safety data to comply with regulations and drive positive change within companies. The world of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) is new to many industry players and the software requirements being requested by customers are continually changing. While this is an exciting time for growth, it is also a time of uncertainty and demands that companies like Intelex come to the table with ready-made solutions to help organizations tackle the data requirements for environmental compliance and sustainability.
Intelex is seeking help in defining a path forward with standard content to offer new ESG customers. We currently have a very strong software suite to handle environmental and sustainability projects for customers, but the devil is often in the details. The primary purpose of the capstone student(s) involvement will be to translate specific sustainability reporting standards into real software tools to be used by our clients. Sustainability standards will include, but are not limited to, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Sustainability Accounting (SASB), and Integrated Reporting (IIRC). Capstone students will serve as a bridge between the Product and Services teams at Intelex, informing what can be offered as standard out-of-the-box content and advising our consultants with considerations for executing new ESG projects. Students will review relevant materials associated with the sustainability standards, cross-reference with the existing software offerings, and make recommendations for further development of the product.
