Elizabeth Wallace is a Master's student in Environmental Engineering with an emphasis on air quality.  Elizabeth completed a DLA (Discovery Learning Apprenticeship) designing and piloting the project-based Soil Quality Inquiry Program curriculum, with the goal of enhancing student engagement in STEM in rural Colorado high schools. Her current research interests focus on the impacts of energy use and its contribution to community air pollution exposure. Her previous research includes the study of ambient levels of air toxics near fracking operations in residential Colorado neighborhoods through an NSF funded REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates). In her spare time, she enjoys backpacking and mountain biking in her new Colorado home.
