How can we develop a career readiness model that will increase the knowledge of, and interest in, STEM and computing careers for middle school youth who belong to groups often underrepresented in STEM fields?

The STEM Partnership Toolkit was created to share tools and strategies around the practice of connecting STEM education to community partnerships that enrich learning experiences for youth, including exposing youth to STEM careers through mentoring and youth-centered project design.

This toolkit shares how in-school and out-of-school educators and professionals have approached the challenge of engaging underrepresented youth in STEM career pathways. We provide the STEM Career Connections Model, practice briefs, and resources that focus on a particular issue or challenge, share examples from our research, and provide insights to support the development of community STEM education partnerships.
