Application timeline
Applications to the program are accepted anytime on a rolling basis. Once your application is received, you will be contacted by the program directors as well as by potential CU faculty hosts to discuss possible research projects before final pairings are decided.

Program period, schedule, and format
The calendar period of your research experience is flexible and may begin anytime throughout the year.  It should involve a total of 180 hours of research and run for a total of 6 to 15 weeks.  Your weekly schedule can involve on-campus research, remote work, or a hybrid mixture of both. Your exact calendar and weekly schedule of activities will be determined in discussion with your CU faculty host, to allow for teaching or other committments that you may have as well as the needs of the research project.

Optional participation in an annual research symposium
Participants will be invited to present a poster at a research symposium held annually in the CU College of Engineering & Applied Science each August. It will provide a venue to present your research findings and plans for curricular development based on your research experience as well as to interact with other program participants, CU faculty members, and campus leadership.
