The TEA Resource Center on China offers a large collection of resource materials for Colorado teachers. Over 500 items in our collection include:

  • The complete collection of elementary and secondary curriculum units from SPICE (The Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education)
  • A collection of folktales and children’s stories
  • Elementary and secondary units developed by national and regional China projects
  • Videos and DVDs, from educational documentaries to Chinese feature films
  • A collection of traditional and contemporary Chinese literature for secondary use
  • Resource books and CD-ROMs on traditional and contemporary Chinese art
  • Resources on religion, history, China since 1949, art, and Chinese-Americans

Circulating print, audiovisual, and computer-based curriculum materials, as well as a professional library, are available on free loan to K-12 educators within commuting distance of the TEA offices. As part of the resource center services, project staff are available to consult with teachers and school districts on curriculum design and materials selection.
