Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
The University of Colorado Boulder adheres to all federal and state regulations directing the humane use and care of animals for teaching and research. This includes the Public Health Service Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and the Animal Welfare Act, among others. We also use other resources to guide our Animal Care and Use Program, including but not limited to the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, Eighth Edition.
The IACUC at the University of Colorado Boulder has also written and approved specific CU Policies to guide our care and use here on campus.
