The CWA along with CMCI will host journalist Lee Fang on February 2nd in a discussion titled "Investigative Journalism: From the Obama Era to Trump."

On Friday, Jan. 27, the Distinguished Lecture Series will feature Richard Johnson, MD. The lecture, titled "Climate Change and the Evolution of Humans," discusses a mutation in uric acid metabolism that likely occurred in Europe as a survival advantage for apes living there.

In this Feb. 1 talk, LASP Solar Scientist and Associate Director Tom Woods will discuss our understanding of solar flares and coronal mass ejections, based on more than two decades of observations of the sun as a star.

Some of the campus's most dynamic faculty members will address topics ranging from animal evolution to wrongful convictions, Mayan life and Chinese and American views on the media during this semester's CU on the Weekend, a free lecture series.

Laverne Cox, an Emmy-nominated actress best known for her role in the Netflix series "Orange is The New Black," will speak at CU Boulder’s Macky Auditorium on Jan. 25. The speech is co-hosted by the university’s student-run Cultural Events Board and Distinguished Speakers Board.

The Program in Jewish Studies and William A. Wise Law Library will honor International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a lecture by Professor Nils Roemer and the highly acclaimed international exhibit "Lawyers Without Rights: Jewish Lawyers in Germany Under the Third Reich."

The next Engaged Scientist Series lecture and workshop, open to graduate students and post-doctoral researchers, will focus on "Uses and Practices of Community Dialogue in Geosciences and Environmental Sciences."

Bringing together a community's vision and enhancing a neighborhood through design is no small task. But with this aim, and working with the city, CU Boulder students have tried their hand at such a project and will present their work to the public at eTown Hall.

Conservative journalist Milo Yiannopoulos will talk at CU Boulder on Jan. 25 as part of a national college speaking tour.

The Environmental Center is hosting the Campus Sustainability Summit on Thursday, Dec. 1. The information-sharing forum will feature strategic updates and inter-departmental discussion on campus sustainability initiatives.
