Thank you for choosing language learning with ALTEC! Here's what you need to know before attending the first day of class.
Read your registration confirmation email
After you compete your registration payment, you will receive a confirmation email containing your confirmation number. Our program coordinator will send Zoom links and Canvas invitations to students the week before classes begin. Contact us as soon as possible if you have not received an email with the Zoom link, do not see a Canvas invitation, or are having any other tech troubles.
Explore Canvas resources
Canvas is our online learning platform where you can find course materials, watch class recordings and engage with additional practice opportunities. A few days before classes begin, you will receive a Canvas invitation. You can then log into Canvas with your CU Boulder IdentiKey (login name) and password, and find your course on the Dashboard.
Explore the FREE ALTEC Foundations course to learn the basics in 7 languages. This course also highlights the benefits of studying each language and introduces you to Canvas.

Get familiar with Zoom
You will need a fast and stable internet connection along with a high-quality camera + external headset with microphone for the best audio quality.
Please download Zoom or update your desktop client, and then test your audio and video settings before the first day of class.
Use the Zoom link and passcode on your Canvas course home page/ in your registration confirmation email to attend class each day.
All class sessions will be recorded and made available in Canvas to enrolled students only.
