Undergraduate Statistics Curriculum Links

Junior Year

  • In general, the student should make sure they are on track (or ahead) with the undergrad flowchart and speak with their academic advisor if they're interested in the BAM program.

  • Fall semester: STAT 4520/5520 (Introduction to Mathematical Statistics), STAT 4610/5610 (Statistical Learning). 

  • Spring semester: STAT 4400/5400 (Advanced Statistical Modeling), as well as one STAT elective.

Senior Year

  • The student should take at least five courses at the 4000 level or higher. 

  • Fall semester: STAT 4680 (Statistical Collaboration), as well as one uppers division STAT elective. 

  • Spring semester: APPM 4560/5560 (Markov Processes, Queues, and Monte Carlo Simulations), as well as two upper division STAT electives.  

Fifth Year

  • Fall semester: The student should take STAT 5310 Statistical Modeling for Data Science, any other required courses not yet taken, and the first course in the out-of-department sequence. The student should also have a plan in place for completing their Culminating Experience (CE) project. Learn more about the Culminating Experience Project.

  • Spring semester: The student should take any required courses not yet taken, and the second course in the out-of-department sequence. Students should complete their CE project and apply to graduate.
