As of May 2024, the campus Office of Faculty Affairs is currently updating the criteria and process for sabbatical approval, starting with sabbaticals submitted in Fall 2024. The information on this page is subject to change, and will not be the definitive process for sabbatical submission in Fall 2024. This page will be updated as more information is made available by the Office of Faculty Affairs. 

Changes to sabbatical leave requests (i.e., cancellation, change to the sabbatical term, postponement) must be approved by the Chair, Dean of Division/Associate Dean/Executive Director, and Vice Provost and Associate Vice Chancellor for Faculty Affairs prior to the start of the sabbatical or prior to the date of change. Please contact CAS Faculty Affairs (CAS-Faculty@colorado.edu) for further explanation on processing a sabbatical change request. 

Please note: the Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) will not accept sabbatical change requests submitted before the original sabbatical application has been approved by the Board of Regents. Please do not request changes until your original sabbatical application has been fully approved.
