Morgan Walton (StratComm) began working in October 2021 as a junior designer at Union, an independent creative and performance marketing agency in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Megan Nyvold (Jour) moved to Miami following graduation. She works as a brandmaster and oversees social media operations at Biscayne Bay Brewing Co. Before that, her broad background and excellent communication skills allowed her to gain experience working for an advertising agency, as well as both private and Fortune 500 companies. She has extensive experience with video-sharing social networking, content creation and online communications.

Hannah Metzger (Jour) is working as a breaking news reporter for The Denver Gazette.

Olivia Gemmiti (StratComm) is a project manager at McCann, in New York City. She works across several global accounts and recently helped win a highly competitive New Biz pitch for a coveted spirits brand. Gemmiti loves being at a historic agency and being able to see the creative process from start to finish.

After graduating, Jessica Clarke (InfoSci) was hired by Booz Allen Hamilton as part of a team that supports NASA’s Artemis missions, and had the opportunity to see the Artemis 1 launch. She said she “couldn’t imagine where I’d be without the Info Sci department.”

Daniela Martinez Carpizo (Comm) worked for Major League Baseball and helped coordinate the 2021 MLB All-Star Game in Denver. Following MLB All-Star Week, she joined the Colorado Rockies for the 2021 season before joining the Denver Broncos’ community development team. She now works at the Leeds School of Business as a program coordinator for recent alumni and student engagement.

Savannah Mather (Jour) recently got her certification in public relations. She started a job as a publicist for Blue Practice, a PR firm based out of Sausalito, California, which represents companies that are creating innovative solutions for climate change. 

After graduation, Izzy Rosen (CritMedia) interned at Old Tale Productions, a Boulder-based media company co-founded by Monty Moran (Comm’88). Following her internship, Rosen was hired as a producer working on Season Two of the five-episode, 60-minute docuseries CONNECTED: A Search for Unity, which airs on PBS. Rosen lives in Brooklyn, New York, and is pursuing a master’s degree at the Pratt Institute while remaining a producer for Old Tale Productions.

Aislin Khleif (StratComm) has been working for Oracle NetSuite as a business development representative in the Denver office for more than half a year. As a team leader, she created and executed a cohort-wide organizational workshop, joined the Oracle Women’s Leadership group and volunteered as a co-lead for a pro bono project to give back to a company in need.

Molly Hitchens (StratComm) moved to Nashville and is working as a marketing coordinator for the company Twelve Tables, which seeks to create a full-service marketplace for high-caliber agencies and independents. Hitchens now creates and manages social media tasks for a range of clients and is helping Twelve Tables’ CEO create a podcast.

Carly Duffy (StratComm) moved to Sydney shortly after graduation and joined the team at Now We Collide as a junior producer/social media coordinator. She has been working closely with their newest client, NBA Basketball School Australia, to help them grow their company and reach new audiences. She is thankful for all she learned through CMCI and to everyone who supported her along the way.

Together with her mother, Laura Carrillo (StratComm) established a real estate investing company in August 2022. Since then, they’ve successfully flipped two houses, and her degree has been invaluable as she continues this startup journey.

After graduating, Alex Borinstein (Comm) moved to Denver, joining Kroenke Sports and Entertainment’s partnership marketing department. After interning for six months, he transitioned into a full-time role. He’s grateful for the connections made at CU, which have helped him begin his career working in professional sports.

Christopher DeLuca (StratComm) accepted an offer at Edelman, a public relations company, as a brand team intern in New York City. He would like to thank those who supported him in his public relations career, including CMCI instructor Dawn Doty for her continued encouragement.

Grace Naber (StratComm) moved to Dublin after graduation for an internship with Groopeze, a travel and booking agency operating in the U.K. and Ireland. She is excited to spend the next period of her life abroad, and she is thankful for all she learned through CMCI and will soon be applying in the real world.

Shortly after graduation, Anna Newkirk (Jour) moved to Washington, D.C., to join the broadcast media team for the Washington Commanders. She is grateful for the support of her professors and mentors who guided her to where she is now.

Claire Wernick (StratComm) recently announced her new employment as a public relations assistant with Havas Formula, a public relations agency, in its Midwest division. She is looking forward to joining a team of innovative thinkers and has always looked up to the way Havas Formula is a trendsetter within the public relations industry.

Karly van Leer (StratComm) recently started an internship with Communications Strategy Group in Denver, where she will be working with fellow Buff Madison Thomas (StratComm’21).

Alexander Servantez (Jour) accepted a job at Fox 31 KDVR and is officially starting a career in broadcast media as an assignment editor.
