College of Arts and Sciences Research

Within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, there are numerous opportunities for undergraduate students of all stages of their academic career to engage in research, scholarship and creative works with faculty.

The SMART Program

The Summer Multicultural Access to Research Training (SMART) program offers students considering graduate school in a STEM field the opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of a faculty mentor, and participate in workshops designed to strengthen scientific writing and oral presentation skills.

BSI

Biological Sciences Initiative (BSI) Scholars are undergraduates who conduct original STEM research are paid to work in a laboratory on the CU Boulder or CU Denver Anschutz Medical Campus.

CURE

CURE is an acronym for ‘Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience’.  It is a novel form of classroom based courses that offer students hands on experience doing original research and offer faculty the opportunity to generate new information within their discipline.
