Dr. Bastias earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and a Doctoral degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. His current areas of interest are in Decision Support Systems, Decision Making, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, where he has worked on multiple research projects revolving around Software Development, Project Management/Control, Knowledge Management, Innovation, Leadership, and Education. In addition to his extensive research experience, Dr. Bastias has also dedicated a substantial portion of his academic career to teaching. He has taught a diverse range of courses, including Information Technology, Decision Theory, Risk Analysis, and Project Management, all of which are related to Data Science. Dr. Bastias' ability to balance his research and teaching responsibilities has proven to be a testament to his knowledge and expertise, providing a solid connection with the industry and its needs.
