Timeline:

February

  • February 1: Chairs and directors narratives are due to A&S Faculty Affairs
    • Please submit narratives to cas-faculty@colorado.edu as an attachment to email, please include NARRATIVE in the subject line.
    • Reminder: Narratives must be submitted for any individual who held the position of chair or director (including RAP directors) from January 1, 20XX– December 31, 20XX
      • The narrative is the chair or directors’ self-evaluation for the period in which you will be reviewed.  Please include any information you deem appropriate for your review as chair or director.

March

  • March 31: All faculty evaluation forms are due to A&S Faculty Affairs

All faculty evaluations must be completed and signed by the faculty and chair prior to submitting to A&S Faculty Affairs.

Process to submit documents:

  • Save all faculty evaluation files electronically with the following nomenclature:
    • LastName_FirstName_EID
    • Example: Doe_Jane_123456
  • Faculty evaluations should be submitted to cas-faculty@colorado.edu using one email to upload all evaluation documents as separate pdfs
    • NOTE: Please compress files that are larger than 15 documents prior to emailing.
    • The goal with submitting evaluations is for a unit to submit most, if not all, evaluation documents in one email that can now be processed and tracked in the ticketing system.
  • Please include a cover page in excel format LastName/FirstName/EID/Score as an additional attachment to the email which lists all the evaluations being submitted including the rating level in numerical value.
    • NOTE: This spreadsheet should be titled with the department name and org number.
  • NOTE: Chair and directors are evaluated by the appropriate dean of division or associate dean to whom they report. The department will review chairs and directors in the areas of teaching, research, and service to the department. The appropriate dean will provide the evaluation of the individual in the role of chair or director, and departments may provide a narrative review of the chair or director in their role. This should be a separate narrative from the annual review of the chair or director.
