1. If a department would like verification that a specific course is eligible for a grader, the Program Assistant can contact Patrick Tally (patrick.tally@colorado.edu) for grader pre-approval. After receiving grader pre-approval, the department must submit a A&S Summer Spreadsheet after the appropriate session’s last day to drop without penalty date. (See below for dates.)
  2. The pay rate for all graders is $35 per enrolled student in the class on the day after the last day to drop without penalty. After the last day to drop without penalty for each term, departments will verify the number of enrolled students and create summer Grader course proposals via an A&S Grader Summer Session. The department will email the spreadsheet to CAS-Faculty@colorado.edu. The last day to drop dates are detailed in the table belowAny A&S Grader Summer Spreadsheets that are submitted prior to the last day to drop date will be rejected.
  3. Each email submission will generate a ServiceNow ticket and the department will receive email confirmation with the assigned ServiceNow ticket number.
  4. CAS-Faculty will transfer course proposal data to a Sharepoint spreadsheet where Patrick Tally will review the course proposals with the option to approve or reject.
  5. Departments will have view-only access to the Sharepoint files to check the status of submissions. Courses that have been rejected will be highlighted in red and will have a note explaining the rejection. In addition, departments will receive an email if a course proposal was rejected. NOTE: It is the Departments responsibility to view the spreadsheet, CAS-Faculty will, in an internal audit, remind departments that the line(s) were rejected.
  6. Courses that have been approved will be highlighted in yellow. When the course is approved and the day after the last day to drop without penalty for each term has passed, CAS-Faculty will create and route the offer letter in DocuSign. After the offer letter is routed, the course line will be highlighted green
  7. The DocuSign routing order will be:
    1. Department Chair (signature)
    2. Grader (signature)
    3. Patrick Tally (signature)
    4. Department Liaison (copy)
  8. While the offer letter is routing, CAS-Faculty will create a spreadsheet based on the information within the offer letter and will route the spreadsheet to the HRSC and department.
