Dan has been a faculty member at CU Boulder since 2001. He and his wife Maureen live in south Boulder with their dogs.

Kyle aspires to become an audiologist.

Karen enjoys running, paddle boarding, gardening, crafting greeting cards, camping, listening to audiobooks/podcasts, and watching Raider football.

Dan received the 2022 Alan T. Waterman Award, presented by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and has been recognized by Popular Science as one of their "Brilliant 10" for 2022. He grew up in Wheat Ridge, CO and now lives in Boulder with his wife Liana and their fluffy rescue mutt, King.

Brandon's hobbies include hiking, cycling, and video gaming.

Lauren's research interests include engineering education, student motivation, project-based learning, and outdoor industry engineering.

Becky Komarek has been with the college for nine years.
