Understanding key drivers and successful strategies in cost-effective energy efficiency programs

E SourceEnergy efficiency is traditionally the least cost resource for energy planners when it is compared to the costs associated with needing additional supply-side infrastructure to meet overall energy demand. Cost-effective energy efficiency programs can provide a variety of benefits to the energy grid for both the consumer and the utility through cost savings and decreases in energy demand. With so many options for energy efficiency available to the consumer and the utility, it is difficult to identify the most cost-effective strategy for different utilities to take. This research will identify key drivers and strategies in cost-effective energy efficiency projects and develop a forecasting tool for E Source customers that will assist with promoting efficiency technologies to varying demographics and territories.
