Instrument Description:

The Special BD FACSAria Fusion™ Cell Sorter within a Biological Safety Cabinet  is built for superior multicolor sensitivity, safety and performance.

The instrument will detect up to 13 parameters, with the following optical emission filters for each of the 4 indicated lasers:

Coherent OBIS 445 nm laser (75 mW):
CFP
AmCyan (505LP; 525/50)
Coherent OBIS 488 nm laser (100 mW):
SSC
FITC, GFP, YFP (495 LP; 515/20)
PerCP-Cy5.5 (685 LP; 710/50)
Coherent Sapphire 561 nm laser (50 mW):
PE (586/15)
mCherry, PE-Texas Red (595 LP; 610/20)
PE-Cy5 (635 LP; 670/30)
PE-Cy7 (750 LP; 780/60)
Coherent OBIS 640 nm laser (40 mW):
APC (670/30)
Alexa 700 (695 LP; 730/45)
APC Cy7 (750 LP; 780/60)

Automated Cell Deposition Unit (ACDU):

This multi-position sorting unit deposits cells onto
slides and into 6, 24, 48, 96, and 384-well plates.Single cell sorting is enhanced with the index sorting function that allows post-sorting review of precise cell
characteristics for each deposited event.

Software: BD FACSDiva

To achieve superior multicolor performance, the fluidics and optical systems are precisely integrated to maximize signal detection. Innovations include the laser excitation optics, the patented flow cell with gel-coupled cuvette, and the highly efficient patented octagon and trigon detection system. These systems work in unison to achieve unparallelled sensitivity and resolution.
