Instrument Description:
The AB/Sciex Voyager DE-STR is a matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI)-time of flight (TOF) instrument and is mainly user operated. It has low resolving power and accuracy, compared to the Synapt G2 or orbitrap mass spectrometer, however, tens of different samples can be prepared and analyzed easily, making it an optimum instrument for initial screening of multiple samples (e.g. fractions from HPLC).
